Our Northern Spain program is based in the excellent region of Ribamontan Al Mar along the Cantabria coastline and is one of Spain ’s best-kept surfing secrets. The lush, green foothills of the Picos de Europa slope down to huge golden beaches. The prevailing winds, Atlantic swells and Biscay’s enormous depth, combine to produce quality surf conditions all year and with mild winters and great summers it is an ideal destination. From early summer to early autumn it’s possible to surf in just shorts in this region!

Damos Surf School this year offers a great surfing opportunity for all standards of surfing from learners to professional surfers. Our surf school and surf guiding tours are located on a 3 mile beach, just across the bay from the gateway city of Santander . The surf on this stretch of coastline offers conditions for anyone and everyone.

Damos Surf School manager, Bi-lingual Surf Coach and professional lifeguard Damian is British but has been a resident in the region for over 20 years and has extensive surfing knowledge of the area. Fully licensed under FES regulations the academy includes board and wetsuit hire.

Damos Surf Guide will transport you to the best spots of the day and help you advance your surfing skills whilst enjoying the truly hospitable area of Northern Spain . Guiding will cover the Cantabrian coast lineup.

Damos Surf School offer a wide range of accommodation in the village , and these include, the luxurious self catering apartments Rincon de la Valle, four star Hotel Torres, Bungalows, a small B&B and on the budget side we offer a good clean camping site.
